A note from the agency
We're a small team in Dataran Dwitasik. Here's how we work.
Agensi Pekerjaan Era Moden was set up in 2023 in Kuala Lumpur. Between us, the team has spent 16 years in domestic helper recruitment, so we've seen most of what can go right and wrong in a placement. In 2026 we opened Agensi Pekerjaan Era Baru in Johor so families in the south can deal with us just as easily.
We don't hand you a list and wish you luck. We interview candidates ourselves, run the FOMEMA medical, apply for the permit, train the helper for a Malaysian household, and collect her from the airport. If something isn't working out later, you call us and we sit down with both sides.

Common questions
Things people usually ask us first
How long does it take to get a helper?
It depends on the source country, the approvals in force at the time and how quickly you decide on a candidate. Once we know your situation we'll give you a realistic timeline rather than a best case. Transfers of helpers already in Malaysia are usually quicker.
What does it cost, and what's included?
Fees change with government policy and the country of origin, so we don't publish a single figure here. WhatsApp us and we'll send you the full breakdown in writing: agency fee, levy, insurance, medical, permit. No charges you haven't seen first.
Where do the helpers come from?
From source countries approved by the Malaysian government. Availability changes with quotas, so we'll advise you on what's realistic for your requirements and budget at the time you ask.
I already have a helper. Can you do just the renewal?
Yes. We handle permit renewals, insurance and FOMEMA for existing helpers, and transfers from another employer.
What if it doesn't work out?
Call us first — most problems turn out to be a misunderstanding, and we sit down with both sides. If the match really isn't right, you're covered. Your package comes with a warranty period of 3, 6 or 12 months; within it, if your helper runs away, refuses to continue or isn't performing, we replace her once free of charge — most agencies still charge a few thousand ringgit for a replacement inside warranty. Once the warranty ends you're still covered for the rest of your two-year contract: a replacement costs a fixed top-up instead of the full placement fee again. WhatsApp us and we'll put your warranty length and the terms in writing before you sign anything.
